DI NA NATUTO--- After creating box-office history in their first team up in "Maging Sino Ka Man", Sharon Cuneta and Robin Padilla did a reversal of roles in another romantic film. Robin was the rich troublemaking son of an haciendero. Sharon was his childhood friend, the daughter of one of their tenants. His older brother was not only after Robin's share of the estate but also after Sharon. Eventually the truth would come out as to who among the two was the real black sheep of the family. But this would only happen after Sharon and Robin had been through everything, thrilling fight scenes, breathtaking chases and romantic interludes.

PAGDATING NG PANAHON--- Lynette (Sharon) is a conservative and religious lady who leads a boring life selling native delicacies in Laguna. She comes from a family of old maids. So when she gets a marriage proposal from Manuel (Robin), whose family is known to be a brood of chauvinists, she was ecstatic. Upon learning the news, Manuel's family was not exactly happy. But after Lynette figures in an accident, she starts to have a different outlook making her more confident prompting her to live a more exciting life that she starts to attract more attention from the male populace, leaving Manuel insecure. Meanwhile, Bubut (Rufa Mae Quinto) a common friend of Lynette and Manuel is secretly in love with Manuel and feels that she is the right girl for him. Withstanding her sister's advise, Lynette sets out to Manila as part of her business expansion. Leaving Soni (Lynette's sister) very disappointed. As she stays in Manila, she meets Joaquin who is very fond of her. Manuel figures out about Joaquin and becomes jealous of him.

100, written and directed by Chris Martinez, was the only movie that I got to watch during the Cinemalya 2008 film festival. I watched primarily because my best friend Ryan Eigenmann and good friends Mylene Dizon and TJ Trinidad were in the movie. I attended the gala night of 100, which was shown at the CCP Main Theater. First, I bought a P100 ticket since Ryan EIgenmann was running late, and managed getting a seat at the bleachers. When Ryan arrived and called me, I met him at the lobby, and we transferred to the reserved seats they had for him.

I had only seen a bit of the beginning sequence, and skipped about 5 minutes before resuming the movie, which was the scene where Mylene is finishing up her last day of work. Anyway, of course, we finished the movie.To quote 100’s film synopsis from what I guess would be the PR pack, it says: “100 chronicles the last 3 months of a cancer-stricken woman who has a list of things to do before she dies. 100 stars Mylene Dizon, Eugene Domingo, Tessie Tomas, Simon Ibarra, Ryan Eigenmann and TJ Trinidad.”

Writer/Director Chris Martinez, sums it up as: “100 is a celebration of the senses and what life has to offer.”

Louie receives a text message from the province that his father Ulding had a heart attack.

Louie rushes to drive home from Manila only to find out that the message was nothing but a prank.

Louie then senses something eerie about his hometown.

He finds out there have been several killings in the area all done in the same manner.

Apparently, the victim first hears some rumbling noise that is before they are found dead all covered with mud.

Louie learns that his childhood sweetheart Elma is the most recent victim.

He visits her wake and is forced to confront an unresolved issue with Elma's husband, Nestor, who was once Louie's bestfriend.

As the day draws to an end, Louie is also forced to resolve his long-standing conflict with his father who is now married to their servant Cora, a simple, earthy mystic.

Ulding has refused all of Louie's invitations to stay with him in Manila because of his new family.

When the killings move closer to home and threatens Louie's family, he discovers for himself how he had been estranged from his roots and now must face his past with the horror of what is to happen.

One day, Victor is hired by Tom Tom’s school to speak to the ghost of a little girl and ask her to leave the campus. As his dad prepares, a surprised Tom Tom discovers that HE can see and talk to the little girl’s ghost. She tells Tom Tom what needs to be done to calm her restless soul. Tom Tom obeys her instructions, and she stops haunting the school. Victor takes the credit and accepts the school’s thanks for a job well done. After this success, Victor quickly finds more ghost-busting work. Impressed by how he handled the school ghost, the lovely Lalaine (Cindy Kurleto) hires Victor to rid her boarding house of a quartet of see-through spooks (Teri Onor, Allan K, Soxy Topacio, Antonio Aquitania) who are scaring her sexy single boarders.

Victor promptly accepts, believing Lalaine could be a wonderful new wife for him, not to mention a caring new mother for Tom Tom. But Victor’s hopes that Lalaine will also fall in love with him are dashed when she discovers that Victor is merely a con artist who can’t even see ghosts, much less talk to them. But just when Victor is about to apologize for his sins, he realizes that he has suddenly developed the power to see and speak to ghosts…for real! Victor realizes what he must now do to make up for his lies.
