Kapuso artist Julie Anne San Jose says her relationship with on screen partner Elmo Magalona is only professional.

In an interview with the 17-year-old singer during her contract signing with GMA Records for her upcoming debut album last Monday, February 20, Julie Anne said she and Elmo are “still getting to know each other.”

“Hindi naman sa hindi kami nag-uusap, hindi naman din po sa hindi kami close. Pero pag nagkikita po kami, as in work lang po talaga,” she told the press.

It’s not that they’re not close outside their joint musical endeavors, Julie Ann explained. They just never had the chance to explore their friendship further.

Manny Pacquiao says the pieces were falling into place for a world title fight with Floyd Mayweather until the American boxer tried to low-ball him on the split of the pay-per-view revenue.
Pacquiao said he called Mayweather personally to try to broker a deal for a world championship fight and thought they had an agreement until Mayweather brought up the pay per view.
Mayweather said he would give Pacquiao a $40 million lump-sum payment if Pacquiao agreed to let Mayweather keep the pay per view earnings for himself.
"It was embarrassing to me," Pacquiao said Tuesday. "He was trying to take advantage of me. It is clear he didn't want to fight."
Some experts have estimated that the pay per view could be around $160 million.

MANILA, Philippines - With the public keeping an eye on his lovelife, President Benigno S. Aquino III Thursday appealed for privacy, particularly for the family of Korean television and radio host Grace Lee.

President Aquino answered queries from college students Thursday at La Consolacion College, Manila, one of which was on the President's lovelife.

Asked how he and Grace Lee are doing after their admission that they are dating, the President replied, "Mabuti naman [We're doing well]."

MANILA, Philippines - Manny Pacquiao gets the chance to ruffle Floyd Mayweather's feathers on Friday (Saturday in Manila) in Las Vegas when he takes his deposition in connection with the defamation case he filed against the outspoken American boxer.

A deposition is a sworn testimony that is taken before a trial and Pacquiao will be joined by his American lawyers during the legal proceeding, according to the Filipino fighter's legal adviser Franklin Gacal.

The case was filed last year, owing to Mayweather's statements charging that Pacquiao had used performance-enhancing drugs whenever he trained for a fight.

Also part of the lawsuit were Golden Boy Promotions (GBP) president and owner Oscar De La Hoya and GBP chief executive officer Richard Schaefer and the case was dropped against them after a public apology was issued.

Lending a hand to Pacquiao's case against Mayweather are lawyers David Marosso and Daniel Petrocelli.

"The case against Mayweather is very strong," Petrocelli told the Bulletin.

Lee made the clarification in reaction to a VERA Files story that said she saw herself tying the knot with the President.
In a text message to Ellen Tordesillas, author of the report, Lee said, "The only points about your article I want to clarify is that I never uttered the words 'altar' or anything that might hint to desiring marriage."
Lee later said in a phone interview with Tordesillas that the issue about she and the President ending up at the altar was part of the banter between hosts of the program "Good Times in the Morning" which airs on radio station 89.9.

Philippine boxing superstar Manny Pacquiao says he has given up gambling, cockfighting and other vices to become a goodwill ambassador for the Catholic church.
Pacquiao, one of the richest men in the Philippines and a national icon, also announced that he had sold his shares in a Manila casino, and in a nightclub and a bar, while also giving away to friends all his fighting cocks.
"I am no longer in the vice business. I've sold my shares in a big nightclub along with my shares in a Manila casino outlet," the 32-year-old, the best pound-for-pound fighter on the planet, told reporters in a recent interview in the southern Philippines.

Through Twitter, she expressed that she doesn’t see anything wrong with lip-syncing, especially when a singer performs in front of a big crowd.

According to the results of a market research survey, consumers in the US say it's hard to find healthy snacks around them.
A month into 2012, when resolutions begin to dissolve and fade, a new Mintel survey released last week found that almost half, or 46 percent, of respondents said it's difficult to find a healthy snack when hunger pangs strike, be it from vending machines or on-the-go locations.

In recent years, a spate of US upstarts like Vend Natural, Fresh Healthy Vending and H.U.M.A.N. Healthy Vending have launched to reverse the junk food machine status quo by replacing chip and soda-laden dispensers with dried apple slices, organic juices and fresh carrot sticks.

Another 16 percent of respondents also said they believe it takes more time to prepare healthy snacks than guiltier pleasures.

There's no real practical reason to ask "who wants to be a millionaire?" because the only people who won't put their hand up are religious types who've taken vows of poverty and those who are already multi-millionaires. Based on recent statistics on U.S. household income, millionaire-dom is not something that's going to happen for most people, even with the dubious benefits of inflation.
